Graduate Coursework
BEC 532:
Biological Processing Science (Fall 2024)
Fundamental scientific principles underlying the recovery, purification and formulation of biologics (biotherapuetics), especially proteins, are examined. Laboratories in the analytical and small-scale purification facility provide students with 'hands-on' exposure to key scientific principles and small scale unit operations.

BIT 582:
Virus Biotechnology
(Fall 2024)
Covers concepts spanning principles in molecular virology through to engineering of viruses as molecular therapeutics. Upon course completion, students are able to describe the basic tenets of molecular virology, articulate several principle uses of viruses in biotechnology applications, and perform data analysis on several fundamental virus assays.
